Sakura noticed tazuna grandson gazing at a picture that was torn off at a point and asked who was torn off. Tazuna then went on to tell him about Kaizo, the village hero and inari’s idol who died in the hands of Gato. His death dashed the hopes of the village and made inari to stop believing in heroism.
