He understands Pain’s secret but unfortunately his throat is compressed before being pierced by the left over Pains. Once he was about to die, he understands that Naruto’s determination and wakes up to write a message on the back of Lord Fukasaku. Pain then throws Jiraiya in the ocean. Jiraiya dies happily knowing the fact that Naruto is going to stay at this place.
